Go where you feel most alive...
It's a real feeling...the place between curiosity and fear. But curiosity will conquer fear even more than bravery, and maybe thats how the unknown becomes known. Because there are people curious enough in this world to go further. And on this day, I felt we were those people.
Ice caves in the Canadian Rockies are far from illustrious. They take research, preparedness and above all else...timing.
The expectation is that you enjoy the journey, even if that means finding nothing at all.
But when you do find them...its like being transported to another world altogether... an awe inspiring, time sensitive, wild wild word.
I once read that the body is solid material wrapped around a breath and the mind. In these places, underneath the world as we know it, where you lose light and where you lose time is where the breath and the mind take over. How deep do you go?
For in every artist there is an explorer
Go to places that excite you and stir a sense of uncertainty. Go with people that you trust, but also with people that aren't afraid to push your limits! Pay attention to what makes you feel alive, not only in the moment, but for the many days and years to follow. Those are the memories you'll continue to revisit in the quiet of your mind, and the places you'll reminisce about with your fellow adventurers.
